Jaren Wilkey is the Manager of BYU’s University Photography office, which provides photographic services to the BYU community. He started working for Brigham Young University in 1998 as a student photographer and has been a full-time employee since 2003.
He serves as a team photographer for BYU’s athletic teams in addition to shooting assignments for University departments and press releases. He has received numerous awards for his photography from CASE, the Utah News Photographers Association and the University Photographer’s Association of America. In 2011 Jaren was named Photographer of the Year by the UPAA.
Jaren has been published in The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, ESPN Magazine, BYU Magazine, Total Blue Sports, True Blue Sports, The Ensign, The New Era, The Liahona, Volleyball Magazine, Via Magazine, College Football Hall of Fame, Eagle’s Eye Magazine, Utah Spirit Magazine, The Deseret News, The LDS Church News, The Salt Lake Tribune, The Daily Herald, UCCU BYU Sports Calendar, Pro-Image BYU Sports Calendar, Glimpses of Utah 15-month LDS Calendar, Memorable Images of BYU, Y-News Newsletter and hundreds of media guides and publications of the BYU Athletic Department. His work has also appared in hundreds of newspapers and websites across the country.
